The Small Compact Car
A Compact Car, or Small Family Car in British acceptation, is a classification of cars that are larger than a subcompact car but smaller than a mid-size car, equating roughly to the C-segment in Europe. Current compact car size, for US and international models respectively, is approximately 161 inches long for hatchbacks or 173 inches long for convertibles, sedans or station wagons.
The Steam Train
A Steam Locomotive is a railway locomotive that produces its power through a steam engine. These locomotives are fueled by burning some combustible material, usually coal, wood or oil, to produce steam in a boiler, which drives the steam engine. Both fuel and water supplies are carried with the locomotive, either on the locomotive itself or in wagons pulled behind. Steam locomotives were first developed in Britain and dominated railway transportation until the middle of the 20th century.
The Stylish Convertible
Convertibles aren't quite as numerous on the roads as they used to be due to their high cost and demand, which gives them a certain timeless magic and added mystique. The appeal of the classic convertible is part environmental, part visual and part fantasy.
The Powerful Train
Here we have the mighty Train. The word "Train" is an old French word meaning to "pull and draw". Technically, a Train is a connected series of vehicles for rail transport that move along a track to transport people or freight from one place to another. Trains can be hauled by Horses, pulled by a cable or they can run downhill by gravity.
The Vintage Limousine
The term now refers to a luxury sedan or saloon car, especially one with a lengthened wheelbase or driven by a chauffeur. The chassis of a limousine may have been extended by the manufacturer or by an independent coachbuilder. These are called "stretch" limousines and are traditionally black or white. Limousines are usually liveried vehicles, driven by professional chauffeurs. As the most expensive form of automobile ground transportation, limousines are culturally associated with extreme wealth or power and are commonly cited as examples of conspicuous consumption. Among the less wealthy, limousines are often hired during special events (most commonly weddings, proms, and bachelor parties).
The Vintage Sports Car
The vintage sports car traces its roots to early 20th century touring cars and roadsters. These raced in early rallys, such as the Herkomer Cup, Prinz Heinrich Fahrt, and Monte Carlo. Though the term would not be coined until after World War One, the first sports cars are considered to be the 3 litre 1910 Prince Henry (Prinz Heinrich) Vauxhall 20 hp and the 27/80PS Austro-Daimler designed by Ferdinand Porsche.
